SA TV, also called South Asian Television, is the first full HD television channel in Bangladesh, started its journey on 19 January 2013, owned by SA Group, one of the leading group of companies in Bangladesh. It is a member of Association for International Broadcasting (AIB). The channel broadcasts a variety of programmes e.g., news, sports, health shows, entertainment, cinemas, dramas, fashion, music, educational and social awareness related programmes. It also has started organizing International shows. SA TV is the first channel in the country “to bring Freemantle internationals Idol franchise in Bangladesh through Bangladeshi Idol.”
