Bangladesh Textile Mills Association (BTMA) is the prime trade organization of the Textile Industries in the private sector of Bangladesh. The Organization mainly represents the country’s Spinning, Weaving and Dyeing-Printing-Finishing Sector and talks over any issues related to its arena. Currently the members of this Association are above 1364 of which the Yarn Manufacturing Member Mills are 383, the Fabric Manufacturer Member Mills are 743, and the Dyeing-Printing-Finishing Member Mills are 238. The current president of BTMA is Jahangir Alamin, Managing Director of Fuad Spinning Mills Ltd.
BTMA has been playing a very significant role:
* to advance and promote textile related trade and commerce in the country;
* to protect the rights of its members;
* to collect information and circulate statistics of its members;
* to provide essential supports to its members;
* to promote and provide commercial and technical education to its members;
* to become representative to the appropriate authorities on any matter connected to its areas or members;
