- Asian Art Biennale Bangladesh
Asian Art Biennale Bangladesh is the biggest art event of Bangladesh which was first held in 1981. Since 1981, the event has been held biennially at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA). BSA is the organizer of this art festival. Asian Art Biennale Bangladesh is committed to showcase the artistic heritage and contemporary arts in Asia. It showcases renowned artists art works, particularly the artists belong of the Asian countries. Apart from displaying the art works of the local & international artists, Asian Art Biennale Bangladesh also provides support and assistance to the young talented artists in their favored field.
There are two (2) committee panels at Asian Art Biennale to select pieces of art works of the artists for display, and to judge for the competition to provide awards and prizes to the winners. The 15th Asian Art Biennale was held at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy from 1st December - 31 December 2012.
16th Asian Art Biennale Bangladesh 2014 held on December 1, 2014 at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) which continued till 31 December 2014. The Finance Minister, Abul Maal Abdul Muhith, inaugurated the exhibition at the main auditorium of the National Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.
